We are currently seeking a Sr. Energy Solutions Development Engineer based in Indianapolis, IN or western Ohio to cover the central US region.  In this capacity you will engage public sector projects (municipal facilities/operations, schools, universities, airports, hospitals, etc.) and engineering support to sales team(s.)  Use your extensive subject matter expertise to influence customers toward Honeywell solutions. You will provide both external and internal consultations, and will help Honeywell teams develop and maintain the right product messaging, customer support, and training. You will foster cross-functional alignment to customer needs. You will participate in pursuit strategy planning, and customer negotiations. You may consult prospective users on product capability. You may provide valuable input for product development.
45%:Perform Technical Audits and Solution Development – Ability to develop an investment grade audit of one or more buildings/facilities. Provide a unique customer focus solution that meets the customer’s technical, social and financial requirements. Ability to perform a financial analysis thereof to demonstrate the financial viability of the technical solution.  Must have demonstrated ability for speed and quality of technical solutions. Actively manage scope and cost of development.
20%:Technical Knowledge and Aptitude – Ability to apply technical knowledge in the development of a customer solution. The ability to develop new and unique offerings, or, combinations of offerings, to meet the customer’s needs.
15%:Communication and Proficiency with Sales – Ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels to achieve sales goals. Ability to present complex technical ideas and concepts to non-technical audiences. High level written communication skills to generate reports, slide presentations and proposals as required.  Understanding the customer’s organizational culture, buying tendencies, and critical stakeholders to expedite customer acquisition.
10%:Solution Development Process Adherence – Ability to work with a diverse team and capacity to adopt new best practices and process enhancements. Demonstrated ability to independently complete contract documents in accordance with standard Honeywell practices.  Demonstrated proficiency at generating the financial workbook and in subcontractor and customer scopes of work.  Demonstrated ability to reuse pre-established best practices.  
10%: Support Delivery Operations – Post contract award, support Operational personnel with Engineering support, submittal support, and project commissioning to drive faster customer acceptance.
Approximately30% travel will be required.

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering – related field
7 + years’ in the Energy Solutions business
5 + years’ experience in designing energy solutions.
U.S. citizenship required

Professional registration/certification:  P.E., CEM, LEED-AP
Project Development capacity/experience:  $1M  -  $20M project size
Experience working with Water/Wastewater operations and municipal pumping systems 
Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships
In-depth knowledge of Honeywell and competitor platforms, products and technologies
Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements and future mandates
Ability to achieve results through influence in a matrixed-team environment

***IMMEDIATE NEED*** Building Automation System Controls Programmer (ECT Services)

We are actively seeking a qualified DDC Tech / Programmer / System Integrator to join our team, with experience using the Alerton, Distech, Siemens Talon, and  Tridium-Niagara platforms. 
 
This individual will utilize software tools, and their knowledge of HVAC & Building Automation Systems to develop Apps and instructions for DDC controllers and graphical front-end user interfaces. 
 
The BAS programmer will work alongside Project Managers, System Engineers, Field Installers, and the end user to fulfill the project requirements.
 
The ideal candidate will understand computers & networking on various levels (depending on experience).  They must be able download Apps into equipment specific controllers and perform point to point verification of proper operation.
 
The BAS Programmer must be able to startup & commission, troubleshoot, modify, and make repairs to the software App and the device being controlled or monitored by the controller.  This role will additionally have the need for the BAS programmer to integrate with equipment that already comes with controllers which have been “factory mounted & programmed”.

 Role Expectation:
  • Convert project requirements into computer program application(s)
  • Download Apps / programs into Controllers.
  • Set up system Graphical User Interface(s), trends, alarms, & reports.
  • Confirm program operation by conducting point to point tests and modifying program sequence if needed.
  • Coordinate details & time-frames of the startups customers.
  • Startup and commissioning will consist of field device inspection, testing and calibration, hardware operation verification, and testing of equipment sequence of operations.
  • Some assignments will require performing service and repair on existing DDC systems.
  • Understand and utilize a multimeter for advanced system diagnostics
  • Submitting any required commissioning documentation.
  • Documenting all changes within As-built drawings.
  • Assists Jr. personnel with training and solutions to systems problems.
  • Provide consistent communication management and customers.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout development, construction, and project commissioning phases of projects.
  • Manage the coordination of integration services with 3rd party equipment & technicians.
  • When designing or completing a project… Utilize, store & update all Applications and Graphics packages within the company software library.
  • Maintain backups of customer databases.
  • (More Advanced Programmers) Set up and configuration of PC Workstations, user interfaces, data servers, IP Networking devices, protocols, routers, switches, mass storage devices and hubs. Confirms proper network performance.
  • Coordinate startup services: Work with customer’s IT Department to coordinate network drops, ip addresses, and monitoring tools. Work with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols and any requirements to integrate with their systems.
  • Provide end-user Training to customers upon completion of project.
  • Occasionally attend routine progress meetings with the customer.
Qualifications & what you need to be successful:
  • We are looking for someone who easily adapts to new worksites and projects quickly.
  • Understand this is a hands-on technical position that requires use of a laptop, hand tools and multi-meter performing startup and commissioning of computerized HVAC temperature control system.
  • Experience with BACnet, LON, Modbus, Alerton, Distech, Visio, Tridium, Niagara, or other Building Automation Systems is a requirement.
  • Technical school or Associates degree (2 year) preferred, although a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Understand drag and drop or block logic programming
  • Above average computer skills required
  • IT experience is a strong plus.
  • Computer networking and Wireless Experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Field experience in service & repairs of HVAC equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls & building automation systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, control drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, sequences of operation, and installation and operation manuals.
  • Analytical thinking and technical ability for the troubleshooting of device failures and or control wiring problems.
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Must have the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Willingness to learn new HVAC controller lines, software and new concepts.
  • Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle with proper insurance
  • Occasional out-of-town work assignments
  • Able to pass drug screen & security clearance required by clients.
  • Willing to work flexible hours as needed.

Sales Application Engineer (Air Equipment Company)
 
Job Description for Sales Application Engineer
The primary objective of this position is to serve in a comprehensive technical support and application engineering role, under the direction of the Vice President of Sales.  The Application Engineer works directly with the outside sales team presale on designs, proposal generation, and job costing.  The Application Engineer also acts as the Project Manager’s resident technical expert post sale.  The Application Engineer supports projects throughout their life cycle to prevent a loss of knowledge in project transition from pre-sale to post sale.  The Application Engineer will leverage operational efficiencies and process synergies to ensure consistency in the family of brands AEC represents. The successful candidate will demonstrate abilities and experience with collaborative team-based customer service and team-based processing of technical information.
 
Description of Principle Duties:
Assist in developing improvements and perform duties with a consistent approach in areas such as:
  • Selection of equipment based on engineering performance requirements
  • Compiling and communicating product updates and improvements
  • Technical resource for troubleshooting and managing project issues
  • Pricing procedures and schedules for catalog items
  • Proposal development
  • Support Admin Team with job file management (Keeping Opportunity & Order Folders on SharePoint Organized)
  • Conversion of Opportunity to Order
  • Submittal generation and resubmittal as required
  • Ordering equipment following procedure
  • Review order acknowledgements and confirm accuracy and compliance
  • Populating appropriate fields in CRM as information become available
  • Support Project Manager with Contract closeout
  • Participate in quarterly 1-on-1 meetings with the VP of Sales to review performance and discuss any issues
Education, Experience and Qualifications: 
  • Technical or Engineering bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in the HVAC field is a plus.
  • Education and experience with the construction and engineering industry, with specific experience in dealing with construction drawings, specifications, construction schedule and processes is a plus.
 
Knowledge/Skill Set:
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentational communication skills
  • Must have the ability to switch quickly between tasks based on priority and timeline
  • Works well within a team dynamic to ensure timely execution of tasks
