2022 ASHRAE Winter Conference Course
Thursday January 13, 2022

2022 ASHRAE Winter Conference Course

One of our own Louisville Chapter Members, Larry Fisher, will lead instruction for a 3-hour course during the 2022 ASHRAE Winter Conference in Las Vegas on Monday, January 31st!

Topic: Best Practices for Installing DDC Systems

This course covers best installation practices of DDC systems. A facility’s direct digital controls (DDCs) form a living, breathing system that an owner will use throughout the life of the building. If standardized and quality installations are promoted, the short- and long-term success of control systems will be greatly improved. Best Practices for Installing DDC Control Systems will provide tools to ensure uniformity for consultants, contractors, and code officials and will specifically benefit consulting engineers, DDC design integration engineers, commissioning authorities, and contractors who install DDC systems.

This is a hands-on course and will be the first of its kind for ASHRAE!

Presenter: Larry Fisher, PE, Life Member ASHRAE

Topic: Air Handling Units

Making sense of what ASHRAE calls “one of the more complicated pieces of equipment to specify or order”. All AHU’s have basic components, but these alone do not address everything that must be evaluated when designing or purchasing a unit. AHUs can be divided into tiers. We will explore the different levels of construction and what applications each are typically used for.
